Course Aim

This is not a traditional set curriculum training course. The aim of this highly interactive and participative Master Class is to equip attendees with more advanced skills in analytical simulation based on the ExtendSim platform by Imagine That! Inc. We do this by having attendees work with the presenter to solve one of your organisations actual problems, under a non-disclosure agreement if required. We spend the first half day or so listening to your people and defining / bounding the problem they wish to solve through analytical simulation. During this part of the process we concurrently teach your people how we do problem elicitation and logic flow mapping. Then we set about leading the group through model architecture considerations, ExtendSim database structure and design techniques and more. We will actually design and make a good start on building a modelling solution that your organisation can take away at the end of the class and complete with your own staff applying their new skills.

Alternatively, after the class concludes we can continue supporting your organisation in a consulting capacity to ensure the model is built rapidly, verified and validated properly, then your staff who attended the Master Class can take ownership of the model at the appropriate time. Of course, the size and complexity of the problem being addressed will govern how long it will take to design and build the solution. We usually spend 2-5 days in these Master Classes and then periodically visit your organisation for a day or two once a month for a few months to conduct architecture reviews, verification and validation checks and help you improve the model and how it may be used to best effect by your organisation.
