Professional Short Courses

Our short courses will ensure your organisation is rapidly up-skilled and periodically refreshed with the leading edge tools and techniques in the science of decision support.

Finding good professional short courses to provide rapid "up-skilling" of new personnel and refresher training for more seasoned staff in niche areas like Defence Experimentation, Analytical Simulation, Defence Operations Research, Advanced Business Case Analysis and Introductory Management Science has traditionally been hard. To respond to this need, Decision Logic is now offering a range of specialist professional short courses aimed at Defence and some private industry sectors.

Our Presenters

Our presenters are characterised by their practical experience coupled with formal qualifications.  We aren't academics, we're seasoned practitioners with a focus on simplicity.  We have had many years experience in the military and in large, global organisations distilling the essential knowledge and skills we have found to be most effective. We now want to pass on our experiences and skills to enable your organisation to rapidly up-skill and grow in effectiveness. 

Course Mechanics

Decision Logic courses are delivered in-house or by agreement at a location of your choosing.  We deliver training anywhere in Australia or around the world.  In-house delivery enables us to keep your costs to a minimum while enabling maximum attendance by your staff. We have no fixed schedule for course delivery.  We will respond to your needs and schedule a course for your organisation when you need it most. The course fees differ depending on content complexity, location and available tools.  A rough guide is about $800 per student per day including GST, with a minimum course size of 8 students and a maximum of up to about 14, but the upper limit is flexible. 

Availability

The courses currently available are shown in the menu at the top of this site.  More courses will be added periodically, and can be developed at short notice.  Courses coming soon include an Introduction to Applied Management Science and Decision Support Techniques.  We are also available to compile and deliver short seminars of a day or half a day on any of the topics here.  We can also do 1 hour overviews on request, in the style of lunch & learn.  Just tell us what you need and we'll make it happen.
