Our Analytical Simulation CapabilityWe offer analytical simulation solutions that involve designing and building a simulation model of your system or problem. Our models capture enough of the real world systems data, performance, complexity and logic flow to enable useful experiments to be conducted whose findings equate more closely to what could expect from the real-world system than a spreadsheet approach. We call a model that achieves this balance “fit for purpose”. Our solutions enable you to see the likely impact of a real-world activity or decision on the performance of your system under different conditions. We enable you to rapidly test various hypotheses and decision options at a fraction of the cost of performing the actual activity, and with no disruption to operations. We can just provide analysis and feedback, or we can use our models and facilitation experience to host interactive decision workshops to assist groups in moving towards the best decision through testing various options. We employ a "spiral development" approach to analytical simulation that enables you to begin with a simple approximation of a process, and gradually refine the simulation as our understanding of the process improves. This approach enables a large complex task to be broken into a series of phases which can be tackled in a fixed price contracting construct, thus reducing your risk. The tools we use enable us to achieve good approximations of very complex problems surprisingly quickly. As we add refinements, the model grows to more closely represent the real-life process or system. We stop when the model is deemed by you to be fit for purpose. Then we employ it to solve your problem. For more information on Analytical Simulation and the basic process in which we apply it, click here to go to our core capabilities area. |
